About
Alex grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. She was a collegiate athlete for 2.5 years, starting at Drury University in Springfield, MO, before transferring to Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. She earned my bachelor's degree at Pittsburg State and completed her graduate program at Rockhurst University.
Alex pursued a career in Occupational Therapy because she loves building connections and seeing an individual accomplish goals that they believed were out of reach. She found her passion in Outpatient Hands at FIT during her Fieldwork rotation as a student. Upon Returning as a professional, Alex is excited to venture into a new chapter to continue her learning within the hand mentorship program, providing the best care to patients. Outpatient Hands is extremely rewarding; she loves being able to provide patients with the tools and information to be successful in their journey of rehabilitation and instilling confidence back into their lives to do hard things.
Fun Fact: Alex has two dogs, Koe and Kisner, who are her pride and joy. They are large dogs who still believe that they can sit on laps. She loves being outside, especially if it involves playing golf. Alex has a close relationship with her family, spending time together and often traveling to watch her older brother play in the MLB.
