About

As a Physical Therapist at F.I.T. Muscle & Joint, Tate is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Originally from Parsons, KS, Tate moved to Lawrence, KS, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Sport Management at the University of Kansas. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Tate's educational background, combined with his passion for movement and rehabilitation, has prepared him to work with a wide range of patients and conditions
.
Tate has a special interest in sports rehabilitation, particularly treating athletes involved in basketball, soccer, and track and field. As a former patient himself, he understands the challenges that come with injury and recovery. After suffering an ACL and meniscus injury, he experienced firsthand the physical and mental demands of rehabilitation. This experience allows him to connect with patients on a deeper level, providing not only clinical expertise but also empathy, encouragement, and understanding throughout their recovery journey.
While he enjoys working with athletes, Tate is passionate about helping all patients achieve their goals. Whether recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or seeking relief from everyday aches and pains, he strives to create individualized treatment plans that improve mobility, increase function, and enhance quality of life. His goal is to empower each patient to move with confidence and return to the activities that matter most to them.
In his free time Tate enjoys watching sports, especially the Jayhawks, and hanging out with friends.
