About

Garrett is a small-town kid born and raised in Louisburg, Kansas who went on to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Garrett’s passion for physical therapy began when he was 13 years old and his dad had a life changing medical emergency. His love for the profession grew as he watched his dad’s rehab journey and saw the impact that physical therapy can have on someone’s life.

Garrett taught Human Anatomy Lab at KU and KU Med for multiple years and enjoys applying his extensive knowledge of the human body to all of his treatments. Through teaching, he gained a passion for educating and understands its importance as he works with his patients to ensure they truly understand what is going on. He acknowledges that every patient is facing unique challenges and each patient needs an individualized and specific approach to treatment.

Garrett has an interest and passion in sports medicine whether it is high-level athletes or weekend warriors. He loves helping people achieve their personal goals and getting them back to participating in their sports and activities pain free and at a high level.

Garrett grew up playing every sport possible and still loves to remain active the best that he can. When he's not in the clinic you can catch him playing basketball, lifting weights, playing soccer, golfing, or playing with his dog Benji. Garrett is a Jayhawk, Chiefs, and Duke Bluedevils fan and loves talking about college and professional sports. Outside of sports and activities Garrett also loves all things food and would love all of your food recommendations from any cuisine/culture.
