About

Maya was born and raised in Olathe, Kansas, where she grew up playing every sport possible before ultimately finding her home on the softball field. Athletics shaped much of who she is today and instilled the value of discipline, teamwork, and resilience. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rockhurst University, where she also had the privilege of competing as a collegiate athlete for five years.

Throughout her athletic career, she experienced her fair share of injuries. Spending time on the treatment table gave Maya a unique perspective on the physical and emotional challenges that come with being sidelined. What stood out most were the relationships the physical therapists built with her. They listened, encouraged, educated, and empowered her, sparking the desire to pursue physical therapy as a career.

Whatever one's goals are,  Maya is passionate about helping individuals restore confidence in their bodies and reach their highest potential. Her clinical experiences ignited the passion for helping people and meeting them exactly where they are in their journey.

Outside of the clinic, Maya is a die-hard Chiefs and Royals fan and has grown to love cheering on our local soccer teams as well. When  not working, you can find her watching softball, spending time outdoors with friends, or exploring local Mexican restaurants and coffee shops around the Kansas City area.
