Meet Michael Cantrell, OTR/L, CHT, an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. He grew up in Central Nebraska, attended University of Nebraska-Kearney, and completed his graduate education at Midwestern University in the Chicago suburbs in 2018. He has been working in outpatient hand rehabilitation ever since and believes in the power of rehabilitation to help individuals rediscover and pursue their passions. Michael loves connecting with his patients, providing excellent care, and most importantly – having fun, as he believes laughter is medicine. Since starting his career, he has lived in the Chicagoland area, Coastal Virginia, and has been in Kansas City since 2023. This diverse experience has enriched his approach to care, giving him the privilege of treating patients from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences. With solid expertise in treating all upper extremity conditions, from post-surgical shoulders to intricate fracture, tendon, and nerve injuries, Michael is dedicated to helping his patients achieve their goals.

Outside of his dedication to his patients, Michael enjoys traveling, hitting the slopes for skiing in the winter, being in nature, connecting with friends over a good meal/coffee/drinks, and experiencing the energy of live music.
