About

Matt is a physical therapist and a graduate of the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth. He grew up in the KC area and did his undergrad at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Matt found a passion for PT early in his sports career after several significant injuries resulted in him spending more time in a therapy gym than on the practice field.

When it's warm outside, he enjoys long walks in the woods looking for his tee shot and having a couple brews with friends while sitting on a dock at the Lake of the Ozarks, or while tailgating before a Royals game. When it gets colder, you’ll have to look a little harder, but you can usually find Matt sitting (maybe sleeping) in a duck blind or deer stand. If you can’t find him there, it means his camo is working, or it means he’s at Arrowhead cheering on the Chiefs.

Matt was recently diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease and as someone who lives with a vestibular condition himself, so when it comes to PT, Matt takes a special interest in patients who are dealing with similar issues. He also enjoys working with athletes, or really anyone willing to put in a little hard work to better themselves.

P.S. As a result of the Meniere’s Disease, Matt is slightly hard of hearing, so if you say something to him in the clinic and he doesn’t respond, he’s not ignoring you… probably.
