Sami grew up in Olathe and has two degrees from KU - a Kansas girl through and through. Mountains and oceans are great for vacations, but there’s something about Midwest charm and hospitality she could never give up. You're probably wondering what a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is and that’s okay! She didn’t know either until she was at KU Med. The short version: She specializes in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, wrist & hand injuries and took a really hard test to prove she knows her stuff. She absolutely loves her job and the ability to help others get back to doing what they love. Don’t be surprised when she gives you shoulder exercises for your elbow, wrist or hand injury - it’s all connected :)

Some of her hobbies include: anything crafty, spending time with my family & husband, audiobooks, thrifting and traveling.

Flashback hobbies: She was a HUGE theater nerd. Also tried the trombone, drums, guitar, piano, volleyball, soccer, softball and dance (shoutout to those of us with ADHD!)

Bonus fact: Biggest fears include emus, ostriches and noisy gatherings
